Hello

Jake and Jala are a couple that started an art business back in 2019, with the name Avoid Idle. We started as freelance illustrators and began working on our online shop. After some years as Avoid Idle, we wanted a brand name change, so we are now called Floor35.

Our art style is heavily influenced by Japanese anime culture as well as the American comic style. We both grew up enjoying these types of cartoons which led to our love for art. We both started off drawing traditionally on paper, working our way up to canvases and then digitally.

Since starting our brand we have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful clients. We became illustrators for the graphic novel Jump by Gamal Williams, we became the merch artists/Designers for a music artist "Haiti Baby", we also illustrated some pages and a book cover for another graphic novel Legendary Gods, lastly we worked for a trading card game company called 7Dwarves LLC. We designed their characters, logos, and card graphics. These are just a few of the clients we are proud and fortunate to have worked with.

In our spare time, we are writing and illustrating our own comic book, Monster Serum! We also enjoy streaming games and focus on creating art content for our socials.
